One of the most obvious differences in the mural to those who had seen it before the fire was how absolutely vivid the colors are. On the fifth floor, mobile shelving is being removed in the Special Collections space in order to replace the mechanical system that moves the shelving units. The entire Hale Library renovation required more than 60 different types of trades, from painting and lighting, to plumbing and wood restoration, and even architecture design and inspection services. Now, crew members have started unpacking and setting up the new pieces, which include tables, chairs, office desks and other workspace furniture.
